• Numbering the Grid

We have improved the little maps we display for each walk step instruction.

When you are reading the instructions for one of our walks each walk step is accompanied by a little map showing you where you have to go. These maps are generated using our WayMaps map tiles, a "mash up" of GIS Open Data from a variety of sources.  read more ...

The boundary changes announced last October for the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks come into being this Monday.

The boundary changes which were announced last October for the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks come into effect this Monday, 1st August. Essentially this extends both national parks towards each other separated by the M6.
