We've Closed our Twitter Account

We finally closed our Twitter account this week. We should have done this a long time ago, we certainly did with our personal accounts, but the 5500+ followers for @WalkLakes kept us lingering.

But enough is enough. The moderation of posts is now non-existent (we reported a post threatening to lynch one of us, it was ignored), it's now impossible to view an account's recent posts unless you yourself have a Twitter account, and we find the business owner's views on a variety of social and environmental issues disgusting.

We haven't given up on social media however. You can still find us on:

Mastodon as @walklakes@mas.to
Instagram as WalkLakes
Facebook as WalkLakes

There's links to all of these at the bottom of our home page.
