Meet Skye

We now have a new dog to go out fell walking with me. Skye is a Border Collie, she's about 1 to 2 years old and came from a local rescue centre. We only have a little background on her, which is she was being kept in a crate most of the time but she's a really sweet dog who loves cuddles.

We've had Skye for a few weeks now. She's settling in and learning the usual commands well. She's currently only off-lead where there aren't sheep about so taking her into the fells won't be for a while yet.

Jack and Skye, much to our surprise, are getting on very well with each other. He told her off a few times for getting in his face, but recently they've been having fun chasing each other in the garden. Jack still has a good turn of speed for a 14.5 year old. He's also looking out for her in much the same way he did Jessie. It certainly seems like he is appreciating the company of another dog again and we are too.
