Hills Database Updated

We've just imported the latest version of the Database of British and Irish hills which adds another four British hills to our database. We were previously on version 16 and we're now on 16.1 which was released on 3rd August 2018.

2202 hills were updated, mostly the positions of tops and a lot have moved by small distances so if you want to see a list of all the changes, to names, summit feature, locations, and classifications it can be found here.

There are few significant changes to hill lists:

• Sron Dha Mhurchaidh name changed from "Sron dha-Murchdi".
• Mullach nan Coirean East Top is no longer a Corbett Top but is now a Murdo.
• Ciste Dhubh East Top name changed from "An Tudair North Top".
• Creag a' Choire Aird East Top has moved by 100m, name changed from "Creag a'Choir Aird E Top", and height changed from 932m to 933m.
• Beinn Dearg is now a Marilyn, andheight changed from 423m to 423.8m.
• Fan y Big is no longer a Hewitt or Sim but is now a sub Sim, and height changed from 719m to 716.7m.
• Wester Watery Knowe is no longer a Corbett Top but is now a Graham Top, and height changed from 763m to 760.6m.
• Carn Dearg has moved by 44m and is no longer a Corbett Top or Sim but is now a sub Sim, height changed from 889m to 888m.
• Hill of Fortrose has moved by 228m.
• Creag na h-Iolaire has moved by 3m and is now a Corbett Top, and height changed from 836m to 834.8m.
• Stron Lochie has moved by 102m and is no longer a Highland Five, and height changed from 501m to 499m.
• Craigancash has moved by 49m and is no longer a Highland Five but is now a sub Dodd, and height changed from 542m to 541m.
• Sreang Glas a' Chuill has moved by 416m and now also a sub Sim, height changed from 818m to 817.1m
• Meall Coire na Gaoithe'n Ear has moved by 97m and is now a Corbett Top.
• Cnoc Loch Kemp has moved by 721m, name has changed from "Creag a'Ghiubhais", and height changed from 233m to 232m.
• Carn Airigh Shomhairle has moved by 390m, and height changed from 75m to 76m.
• Bryn Crugog has moved by 455m, and height changed from 448m to 446.8m.
• Stanshope Pasture name changed from "Stanshope Hill".
• Marsden Height moved by 247m.
• Kings Weston Hill moved by 247m. and height changed from 97m to 98.2m.
• Looe Island name changed from "St George's Island".
• Bower Wood moved by 271m.
• Druim Fiaclach East Top now a Corbett Top, height changed from 825m to 829.3m.

45 were added including Lease Knott in the Lakes.
